As a founder of AfricaKaribu LLC, Robert was born and grew up in Tanzania , East-Africa and has spent 42 years in both East and South Africa. www.AfricaKaribu.com promotes an awareness of Africa & African Safaris, with it's huge variety and numbers of flora and fauna, game reserves, wildlife parks and sanctuaries. Now based in SW Florida, USA, Robert literally grew up in the travel and safari industry, & has a solid background and understanding of Africa from commercial, social and other perspectives. He has traveled and safari'd in Tanzania, Botswana, South Africa & Zimbabwe, as well as Malawi & Namibia. A keen diver he has dived the waters of Tanzania, (incl Zanzibar) South Africa, & Australia, and is a qualified navigator (celestial/astro). Robert has a commercial background, with university education and training in two disciplines, Accounting & Finance, and then went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Australia. Married to Barbara, a South African, who holds University post-graduate education & professional status in Accountancy & Auditing, Barbara's family have owned a private game reserve in South Africa for well over 40 years. Having spent time in the African Bush, both on the family game reserve and elsewhere in Africa, Barbara is keen to see Africa become the favoured travel destination for Americans. Barbara's mother Annabel is an African wildlife artist as is her sister Wendy, who has exhibited internationally.
